Nick Forte is an award-winning filmmaker hailing from Bethel, Connecticut. His passion for cinema began at an early age after seeing Jaws and Jurassic Park in theaters. Shortly thereafter, he began making movies at the age of 10, using a refurbished JVC HI-8 video camera given to him by his father to make short films and parodies. It was when he premiered his first film in his junior year of high school – an adaptation of a scene from The Great Gatsby – that solidified filmmaking as his greatest creative outlet.
Since graduating from UConn’s School of Business, he has worked for Emmy-winning filmmakers and directed numerous short narratives, documentaries, and music videos for touring artists. His work has been screened at distinguished venues including the Palace Theater in Connecticut and has been featured on many major review sites including the Myspace Music homepage. He is committed to providing his actors and crew utmost dedication to making their work shine. His portfolio continues to grow with exacting compositions, compelling human stories and a drive to shape the world through the power of cinema.
“He embodies the main quality that to me seperates the great from the common in any field and that is a compulsive drive for perfection, and the ability to set a higher standard for himself and his work.”
-Jonas Friedman, Northeast Creative Director, Emerging Music Group
